The Madison-Champaign Educational Service Center is seeking a compassionate and dependable School Nurse to join our team at Mac-A-Cheek Learning Center in Bellefontaine, Ohio. The School Nurse supports the emotional, mental, physical, and social well-being of students while helping create a safe and healthy learning environment. This position works collaboratively with staff, families, and outside providers to support student success.

Essential Responsibilities
Provide direct nursing care and first aid to students and staff as needed
Administer medications and treatments in accordance with physician orders and district policies
Monitor and manage student health concerns, including chronic medical conditions
Maintain accurate student health records, documentation, and immunization compliance
Respond appropriately to medical emergencies and communicate with families as needed
Collaborate with administrators, teachers, related service staff, and families to support student health and educational needs
Assist with the development and implementation of individualized health care plans and emergency care plans
Promote a safe and healthy school environment through health education and preventative care
Ensure compliance with state laws, district procedures, and nursing standards
Qualifications
Current Ohio RN License required
Ohio Department of Education permit/licensure or the ability to obtain upon hire
Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
Ability to work effectively as part of a team
Previous pediatric, school, or special education experience preferred
Minimum Requirements
Satisfactory results on criminal background checks
Strong attendance record
Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism
